Maison » Avoid using FixDates.co.za as it is a scam. In December 2023, I received a fake check from this website.

At first sight, FixDates.co.za seemed to be a great choice for those looking to have dates with other like-minded people. The landing page doesn’t show any explicit pictures. The first impression this site gives off is that it is more suitable for those seeking genuine relationships rather than casual erotic experiences. Upon further inspection, however, we strongly advise you to stay away from FixDates.co.za. This portal is nothing more than a scam with a dangerous subscription rip-off.

Contrary to what is stated on the landing page, the website is not free. To be able to send messages to other members, users are required to purchase a membership. Among the different options available, the 1-day trial package seems to be the perfect solution to test the website without committing long-term. Unfortunately, it is just a trap. Unless cancelled by the user, the trial plan will automatically extend into a more expensive monthly package.

The following note is from the Terms and Conditions

All paid subscriptions automatically renew for the period and time that you signed up to. You may cancel the auto-renew feature to avoid recurring charges, but you must act at least 3 days (that is, 72 hours) prior to the renewal date.

A blatant rip-off

As clearly stated in the terms and conditions, to stop the auto-renewal features and avoid recurring charges, a 72-hour notice is required. Since the trial membership runs for just one day, there is no way to avoid the automatic renewal. As soon as payment is authorized, the scam is set in motion.

The same thing happens on every other platform managed by InfraWeb Solution Ltd. This Hong Kong-based company has already attracted countless negative reviews from past users that complain about the subscription trap.

More suspicions

To make matters even worse, it seems that spending money on FixDates.co.za is also completely pointless. According to several online reports, the site’s operator has a bad habit of using fictional profiles to encourage members to sign up for premium membership.

We checked again the terms and conditions, but we couldn’t find any reference to fantasy profiles or professional moderators. Therefore, definitive proof of the fake chat is missing. However, this company has such a bad reputation that we cannot rule out the possibility.
