LaterKiss.com presents itself as an innovative social platform, where you can contact, chat, and meet people, from everywhere in the world. The website is available in 8 different languages. Moreover, they offer a human language translation service, which allows you to talk to any user, even if they do not speak English at all.
LaterKiss.com claims to be the world’s largest portal of this kind. Therefore, we expected to find a lot of user reviews and first-hand experiences, on the internet. Weirdly enough, there are none. We also checked for reports about the site’s operator, which is Alpaca Trading BV, which is based in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. Again, we could not find anything at all. This is a clear indicator that LaterKiss.com is not as popular as they advertise.
Hvordan virker det?
To find out a bit more, we created a test profile, and carefully read the Terms and Conditions. Registration is as quick and easy as it can get. All you need to provide is a username, a password, your gender, and an email address. After less than 30 seconds, we were able to freely navigate the member’s area, and start our quest for a new friend.
The first thing that we noticed is that the basic membership is completely useless. To send messages, send and receive videos, and see who likes your profile, you must become a premium member. This means that you have to sign up for a paid subscription, which also renews automatically. The site’s operator does not provide any information about the procedure to follow to terminate the contract. Based on our experience, this could easily lead to a subscription rip-off.
More costs and more suspicions
The premium membership is still not enough to access the most important feature of LaterKiss.com, which is the translation. To enjoy this service, users must buy very expensive “credits.” Maybe it is just a coincidence, but within a few minutes after our registration, we received numerous messages, written in different languages. We strongly suspect that these communications are coming from fake profiles, which are just trying to push us into buying credits.
