Hem » Review of FlirtySpace.com: Is It a Scam? – March 2024 Feedback – March 2024

FlirtySpace.com appears to be well-designed and sleek at first glance, but it conceals a disturbing truth. The operator of this website is Porticato Media LTD, based in London, United Kingdom. This company oversees a large network of online dating sites and has a poor reputation. We have previously written negative reviews about them multiple times. Unfortunately, this site is no exception. Upon further examination of the Terms of Use, we discover that the company creates what they refer to as “staff profiles”. These are virtual profiles managed by company employees and do not represent real users.

The company claims that these fake profiles exist to monitor their services, entertain users, and ensure quality. However, in reality, they are created to keep users engaged with the service, even though arranging real-life dates is impossible. These profiles will chat with you to encourage you to subscribe. We received numerous messages as soon as we logged in, even though we hadn’t provided any information on our profile or uploaded photos. This immediate popularity raises suspicions.

Fake chat scam

The virtual operators prompt users to subscribe by sending messages that disappear unless you become a paid member. While registration is free, the basic functionality is limited. Users cannot send messages and can only see a small thumbnail of profile pictures. All members appear very attractive, which is suspicious but apparently effective. However, this tactic should raise concerns about the site’s legitimacy.

If you fall into this trap, canceling your subscription is likely to be difficult, time-consuming, and costly. Numerous former clients of this online dating network have reported unexpected charges on their credit cards, which continued even after canceling their accounts. This predatory practice is common among questionable subscription-based companies. Another common complaint is the presence of bots in the members’ area. They may also post fake positive reviews on reputable websites to counter user complaints.

Please note that we may use your content, including photographs, for advertising and publicity purposes. If you do not consent to this, please contact us.

We may create and manage profiles maintained by our employees (“Staff Profiles”). These profiles are used to ensure our services operate correctly, test features and functionalities, and conduct research.

Serious privacy concerns

We were alarmed to discover that the company reserves the right to use any content you post on the website for advertising purposes. Given the extensive network of dating websites managed by this operator, this is a significant privacy concern. Private photos could potentially end up on other platforms’ landing pages or be used in ads on external websites. This puts users at risk of having their private information exposed.
