At first glance, FlirtenDate.com presents an alluring appearance. Newcomers are greeted with an erotic background and a standard registration form. As the platform offers free registration, we made a test profile to access the members’ area. We also scrutinized the Terms and Conditions for any signs of a scam and researched past user experiences and feedback.
It appears that JollyCupid.com was the former scam site from Techscale SRL, the Romanian company behind FlirtenDate.com. However, reports of fraudulent activity led the company to change the website’s name without altering the terms, which still refer to JollyCupid.com. This maneuver seems like a cheap and unwise trick, making it evident that the site could be a scam.
A passage from the terms and conditions states:
[…] for service providers (we work with trusted third parties to provide certain services or functions and may share registration data with them in order to provide us with such services or functions).
Third-party providers
The terms and conditions do not mention any fake or moderated profiles, but there is an indication that the chat is moderated. Without any concrete evidence of fraud, it’s common to use third-party content and services to hire subcontractors to create and manage fraudulent profiles. Nevertheless, from the outset, this platform does not appear trustworthy, and we do not recommend giving away bank details.
Former customers’ experiences and reports suggest it’s not worth using FlirtenDate.com. Most profiles seem fake, and they will contact users only if they become paying members. We found no positive comments on the site, and users who have used it unanimously say they have never had a date through it.
These are our recommendations for an alternative site.
